CODY FIGURE SKATING CLUB (CFSC) is looking for a new coach.

 

About Our Club:  CFSC supports 40/50 members annually and has been in existence 20 years.   Annually we host Learn to Skate, a fall/Holiday show, Seminars/Mini Camps (guest coach(s)), a non-qualifying competition in conjunction with a qualifying State Game competition and we are anxious to add more!

 

Job Description: We are looking to add professional, enthusiastic, and positive-minded coach(es) to our Club. We are seeking freestyle/moves in the field coach(es) that can teach all levels of skaters. The ideal candidate will be a team player and be passionate about developing both competitive and recreational skaters.  As the Head Coach the responsibilities include the implementation and supervision of a junior coach program, directing the Learn to Skate program, and providing private/group lessons. Coach(es) will support the annual ice show, club events and competition.  Must be willing to travel within the region to support skaters at competitions.  
Seeking Gold Tested individuals who meets all USFS compliance requirements. 

 

CFSC offers:

5 freestyle sessions weekly (with the potential of 12)

Annual Competition in conjunction with the Wyoming State Game

Fall/Winter Ice Show

Learn to Skate Program (2) 10-week sessions

High School Lettering Program

Group Classes 

On ice, off ice, and fishing pole harness

OIE Platforms

Non-profit tax status with grant opportunities

 

Riley Arena offers:

Community Owned/Run Facility

Ice Season July - April (intends to be year-round by 2022/23) 

Potential for additional open ice sessions based on an increased demand (July - April)

Opportunities for Hockey/Jr Hockey/Power skill instruction

Arena is co-located with a Recreation Center - providing accessibility to excellent off-ice classrooms 

Both Summer Hockey and Freestyle/Figure Skating Camps

 

About Our Community:  Cody, Wyoming is located one hour from the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park and an hour and a half from Billings, MT.  The Shoshone National Forest and Bureau of Land Management public lands offer endless outdoor recreation opportunities.  Cody has many amenities including museums, a recreation center, and shopping.  Cody is a small town with big opportunities, friendly people, and beautiful vistas.

 

We are looking for that motivated, dynamic head coach with the ability to develop our program to its full potential.
