Levels
Level 1 - Snowplow Sam
The Snowplow Sam levels are designed to help the beginning skater develop preliminary coordination and strength to maneuver on the ice. Snowplow Sam is a big, fuzzy polar bear who loves to skate.
The Snowplow Sam program will allow children to become comfortable on the ice

Level 2 - Basic Skills
The mission of the Basic Skills Program is to provide a goal-oriented program that encourages ice skating at all levels and to enhance the quality of skating skills at these levels.

Upon completion of each level, the skater should be equipped with the necessary knowledge and technique to advance to the next level.

Level 3 - Freeskate
Each Free Skate level is divided into four sections: moves in the field, spins, dance/footwork sequence, and jumps.
The Free Skate levels are designed to give skaters a strong foundation on which to build their skills.

Level 4 - Synchronized Skating
Synchronized skating is a team sport in which 8-20 skaters perform a program together. It uses the same judging system as singles, pairs and dance and is characterized by teamwork, speed, intricate formations and challenging step sequences.
Safety
Cody Figure skating Club adheres to the rules and regulations set forth by USFSA in their Safeskate Handbook, which is linked here.
All skaters and parents are required to follow the rules of the Riley Ice Arena. During lesson times, we separate our skaters by skill level for a reason, and it's important to remember to watch out and be mindful of other skaters! Please talk to your skater about awareness of others. If you have specific questions about the expected protocol on and off the ice, we encourage you to talk to a coach.
